Creating Christmas Cards for College - 10.11.22
For this, the college was looking to get custom Christmas cards made from all creative students ranging from the Level 2 photography students to Year 2 HN Graphics. This would be a good idea to try and get your work out there and be able to get your designs out there to the employees of college.
The initial designs are outlined below, but the main idea of this was to have custom lettering saying Merry Christmas, with an image of Christmas boxes with a graduation scroll and cap mixed in to show more of a learning vibe with it.

The lettering process was to create custom lettering using a small brush pen, as this would show the texture of the paper. This would still be eligible through small editing steps in photoshop and to darken the brush strokes so that illustrator would image trace it better. The image tracing steps was to use black and white logo, and then edit parts so that it would be eligible to readers. This was bought back into photoshop, with an A6 layout made in photoshop.
The next step for this design would be to photograph Christmas Boxes, Graduation cap and scroll so that it can represent college and also Christmas. Luckily, the scroll would have the southport university centre on it, so that can be used as detail in the image or a focusing point in the studio shoot tomorrow. The photos for this will be put into the photography unit, as that unit needs a studio shoot and this would bring a good opportunity for that unit.
