Hand Drawn Shot List - 06.12.22

The shoot does not necessarily have to be for a book cover, it could be used for posters, billboards, or just anything that can promote a certain book or film that is about a murder mystery.
I like the idea of this pin;

To replicate this with the idea of a murder mystery, I think that I can create this by cutting out on cardboard a cardboard knife and then getting two of my classmates and either a snoot or a lighting rig that can focus a lot of light in one spot to get shadows.
A cardboard knife can be used so that I can circumvent the college's (and in general, society's) rule of carrying around a knife or weapon.
I also had the idea of basing my idea on called the studio "paper killer" so that I can just create paper weapons, instead of bringing in real weapons so that I can just circumvent the weapons dilemma.
I also thought about using shadows and playing around with shadows in the studio and having 2 of my classmates making shadows with one of them about to stab the other with the cardboard knife/weapon whilst the other person is on the floor, trying to defend themselves.
The other idea that I have is to have someone that is dressed up in an overcoat and hat (bowler style hat) and then have a shadow that is being shone on their face in the shape of a knife.
These ideas are drawn below and I think that playing around with shadows is a good idea for this.

I think that the next phase of this project is to find any media about crime, murder and mystery to get a sense of what composition, colour and techniques I could include in the studio shoot.
Books, posters and even shots in tv shows/films could influence me into making an even more detailed list of what to take as the studio is not confined inside a white background. The background could be somewhere at home, with little to no lighting or even the use of reflectors can be used as well.
I would also need to make a health and safety list to make sure that everything done in the studio will be done in a safe manner.
