Studio Experimentation - 09.12.22
Below are some of the shots I took while experimenting in the studio. I used plastic guns instead for testing as this was the available thing to use as weapons in the studio. I know that I should have planned ahead for the studio, so at least I know that in the future.
I also need to bring in props and items for the studio, which will be done
I used my hand-drawn shot list to create the outcomes of this experiment.
The shots taken are shown below;
The ones in green show how I asked my models (aka classmates) to pose.
There was also testing for how close we needed to be to get the shadows really clear on the white backdrop. Through testing, I could see that we needed to be really close to the wall to get that nice, crisp-looking shadows. I could also use some post-production to really clear up that edge and darken the shadows.
The green lines show the testing photos that I took, whilst the circled red ones are the ones that I want to keep.
I also circled the photos that have areas of the image that will need to be cropped out or edited before being able to have them as final images.
I think that I would still need to go home and take photos there as I feel like I have ideas for the shoot that would still need to be done in an environment that can be done safely. Doing this at home enables me to shoot things that I cannot shoot when I am in college.
I can also use the manual flash that I have bought to use with film cameras. I just need to take a lot of photos with it so that I do not miss the shot that I wanted.
Overall, I am really happy with some of the shots that I managed to take in the studio on that day and will put some of them up for my final submission photos (if I need to).
