Out and About in Liverpool - 14.10.22
So, as a college, we went out and about in Liverpool to see the different scenes that it had to offer. For example, we went to the different museums there to have a look at the inspiring art. The museum that stood out to me most was the Picture house due to the architecture inside and the Open Eye Museum due to the topical photos inside there. we also went to the Tate Museum as well.
Some of the best inspiration though came from the Tate Museum as this had the installation from Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin. The installation was called People in Trouble, Laughing, Pushed to the Ground, which consisted of Gelatin Silver prints on paper with a cut-out showing them to the viewer.

Gelatin Silver Prints on Paper
The photo shows the black power movement, in a small circle on paper. It immediately drew my attention to the installation as this was photography based with just a small cut-out showing what happened to the people during those times. They also had other ones that show merrier and happier times, but this one took me by surprise more just because of the way that it shows the movement in such a discrete, but also loud installation.
Some Talking Points from the Trip and some Photos
Okay. I have to talk about how I felt on the trip. The way that I like to photograph stuff is by myself, as I feel like being able to sneak around and take photos whilst others do not know is the way that I have done it myself. Whilst being around other people in my class and in general, it is hard to try and look for that photo amongst trying to keep up with the group and follow them. It was hard. I like to wander around and linger and observe others in what they are doing. For me to take good photos or to feel comfortable, I would rather be walking around without a destination and be able to stop, look around and not be distracted. But Anyways, here are some of the photos that I took on the trip. I also took some on film too, which I will try and separate from the slideshow.
