A Day in the Life Of Project Updates - 01.11.22
Took too long to respond to emails and I am getting a little worried about the timings of each thing, so it might be a good idea to fall back into my other idea of doing a day in a life of a student and be able to capture what I can do with myself, with the help of no one else as I think that doing this sort of autobiography style, with shots of myself provides a unique experience to the viewer as not a lot of people know what I do outside of college. To be honest, most of the time it is just working on college stuff and being able to play games.
But the only limit here is my imagination, as I already did a practice shoot today, with the photos showing what I do on a daily basis. Vivian Maier used a tripod for some of her mirror shots, then why can't I use the ability of my camera to it's fullest potential?
I will peel back the magic curtain as to how I managed to take some of these shots. I know that it is weird being able to take shots like these using my camera, but this camera has a remote shutter using my phone and you tether into it and be able to use the camera (to a limited degree). Being able to see the shot using this and a timer was handy when I needed to be in the shot, but are not able to run to the camera, press the shutter and then run back to what I was doing. For this shoot, I would need to start from when I wake up to when I fall asleep, documenting my day-to-day life.
I think that "A Day in the Life of..." is best tackled with research for a photobiography style in the day of my life or I think that I need more research on this subject, as I am struggling with it.
After talking to my fiance's parents and her as well, there has been some insight into the whole project, my fiance suggested that I can document one of our days together when we go somewhere so that I have something for this project, but still have that touch of personality to it. At least I can do something that I am comfortable with, but I know that I will never get the opportunity to be able to do the hospital and the fire department anymore, but I am glad that I managed to ask them about it.
