Feedback for Final Design - 02.12.22
I managed to get feedback from my target audience, with some people that are not my initial target audience but could be potential readers and buyers for their kids.
For this feedback (seeing that I cannot visit them due to them being my sister's friends and them being miles away) I sent over 4 questions and also sent them the photo of the paper prototype of the cover and the cover as a digital spread. These were their responses to the questions;
I also managed to get feedback from potential buyers (who were parents or older adults that are willing to buy the book) as sometimes teens might want to ask their older siblings or their mum/dad if they can buy the book for them and this is what they thought about the design.
Through feedback, there is a clear indication that the book cover shows the potential buyer the story, without spoiling anything. There is also a clear indication that this book is targeted correctly and the feedback shows this when showing this cover to a younger audience and more mature audience.
There are things that I could have changed or experimented with when I got the feedback back but as long as the design speaks for itself and holds up to the target audience, then it shows that my design correlates well with the feedback from my target audience as well as potential buyers. For example, potential buyers are shown what genre this book is through the use of the design
