Development of Posters - 19.01.23

For the development of the posters, I have tried to interview a friend of mine that struggles with ADHD. He has told me (and me noticing things that he has done over the years that we have been friends together) that he struggles with time management and making sure that he stays on track with the projects that he does in his creative course.

I know that I can try and make sure that this can be portrayed through the use of typography and through the meaning of the word.

I had computer trouble at the start of today, which meant that trying to get my laptop fixed took way longer than expected and I could not stand my laptop being broken whilst needing to work on my project. There was something wrong with the drivers for the WIFI and Bluetooth and I could not understand why that happened but managed to get it fixed in the latter half of the day.

During trying to fix the laptop, I would actually try and think about what I wanted to show in the posters. I would think about trying to combine the layouts and the questions about ADHD into the POV photos that I have taken when I was trying to fix my laptop.

It is strange to say that I focused more on trying to fix my laptop before the project. I felt like this uneasiness about the whole ordeal and me trying to concentrate on the project was difficult.

Whilst trying to fix my laptop though, I would just randomly start into space and out of the window and think about the different layouts that I can do for the poster. I thought about using a landscape orientation compared to the traditional portrait layout when looking at bus stop posters. I also thought about trying to reflect on this situation that I was in by taking a photo of the window that I was staring out of and would later draw into my sketchbook the ideas I was having whilst trying to sort out my laptop.

The photos show the sketches that I have done during this time of stress and annoyance;

I also tried to experiment with the posters after fixing my laptop.

I tried to experiment with the idea of the window poster first, which you can see here with the timelapse that I did.

Another thing to point out is that I had to invert the colours of the logo to suit it better in a dark background, as having this as a dark on dark colour would mean that it cannot be seen when layered on top of each other.
