I had to have a look at existing campaigns that focused on climate change. I feel like researching this would allow me to come up with graphics that can relate to this and be able to focus on doing a campaign about a topic related to climate change.

But for now, I wanted to narrow down what I wanted to do for this project and be motivated to do what I like to do. For this, I needed to talk to someone about all of my ideas and I felt like it would be interesting to do the film soup idea. This is literally making mixtures that I can submerge the rolls of film into so that I can change the composition of the emulsion to add effects to the images.

I have also researched the procedure for this and I feel like anything can be done to the roll of film before, during and after development. I might add bleach to it and see what happens to this roll, as not a lot of people have documented this and creating a document about my findings would be an interesting thing to do as well.

 

I could also do something by adding dirt or anything that is linked to the earth or anything that is natural vs the chemicals used for cleaning etc.

I could also pivot into just showing my work compared to just using it as a visual aid to support my campaign.

I will think about this, but for now I will start experimenting with the souping of film.
