Experiment #01 - Bleached Roll - 13.03.23
For this roll of film, I experimented with using bleach as the main ingredient with my experimental film soup. This would be the first roll of film that I would be using for this project and would be the basis of what I want to show others. I would also add some salt to the mix to see if that did anything.
The photos below shows what happened with the roll of film.
It was interesting to see what happened to the roll, as it also made the tool of film very brittle and would actually curl up when I developed the roll. This also made the roll of film look very old, even though it was not actually that old in time date. I think that this would be a fascinating look to go for when shooting things. I also have researched online that adding this to hot water instead of cold water would change the chemistry more.
I will experiment with another roll of film, but this time by adding hot water and maybe more acidic things such as lemon juice and vinegar.
I asked for some general feedback from my fiance about the photos and she said that the black and white images work well. I personally like the way that this roll of film turned out. She also likes the way that the photos have taken this look of spookiness due to the film being degraded using bleach. This comment about the photos looking old is good, but spooky might not be so good.
