Mind maps for My Future Ideas and Business Ventures – 22.03.24
For this session, the lecturer gave us tasks to try and push us forward with our business ideas.
The slides used for the lecture are shown below, as this gives me more information on what I needed to do for the lecture.
For the first mind map, the lecturer asked us to write down anything that was on our mind. For this, I accidentally did the wrong type of mind map but at least I managed to make sure that everything that came from my brain was written down.

The second mind map was for us to come up with many different business ideas and to come up with as many different business ideas as possible.

The second to last activity that the lecturer insisted that we did was to try and make a list of ideas on other people’s sheets and the sheet below shows my classmate's ideas for what I should do for a business or for my future.

The thing that stuck out for me was the Art Director job role. I have had some previous experience with being a shift manager when I was working before, even when I did not know how to make pizzas because of my ability to learn easily on the job compared to doing theoretical work.
This also translates well with my ability to learn something by myself. I wanted to also lead my group most of the time during the group projects because I felt like with my background with work and group projects for my engineering course, it was nice to see what I could do in something that I have always wanted to do before.
Anyways, that’s for the future. For this business idea, I think the idea that stuck out for me was being able to design different tiers of design, from the basic package to a full design package/suit at different tiers and price points for each one.
For this idea, I also needed to make sure that I had a set of things to think about for this project. The lecturer also wanted us to think about this and to write down what we needed to do for this business idea. This was all written down below;
