Analysis of Creative Design Jobs – 18.04.24
For this session, the lecturer advised us to go through the slides and to think about what makes us as a person and to also think about the brand strategy of different products and services that are within the design industry. The slides used for the lecture are shown below;
For this session, we started to look at the different structures and jobs that are within the creative industry. We were tasked to look at one job role that was given to us and to also show this to the rest of the class on the different findings that were found in the smaller groups.
Below is the list of jobs that I have found in a general design studio/agency.

For the next task, we were given a job role and we had to research this within the next 20 minutes. For me though, I started talking to someone who was looking at how the class was taught, about the different living wages that different countries have, remote work and how to progress into the future within the design firm. It was interesting to see how different currencies and living wages were so different from each other.

As this is a senior role, they are mostly looking for people who have a lot of experience working within the creative industry or for people that have the right midset within working as a team and being able to lead them as a team. Management (for me) is the wrong term for this, but rather being a leader and being able to guide people within the project.

Coordinating all the creative staff's operations, including managing their budget and planning their activities

Turning concepts and ideas into realistic projects and implementing them into products and marketing materials

Using various strategic tools to motivate and inspire the creative team to improve the department's creative output

Setting short- and long-term goals for the creative team and developing actionable plans to achieve them

Acting as a member of the organization's senior management team and working with other executives to define its short- and long-term strategies

Setting specific goals for the marketing team and working with them to plan and implement these goals

Maintaining open communication and developing mutually beneficial relationships with external parties, such as suppliers, vendors, agencies, and clients

Providing technical and managerial support to teams in charge of creating corporate or client presentations
