The images below show the final layout for the article, which was also converted to PNG files as this would be the smallest and the easiest to try and input into the Canva file that the tutor had used for everyone else’s designs.

 

 

Personal Analysis of Design Project –

Strengths

• I have found new strength in being off the computer and to also experiment with being both off and on the computer, as having knowledge with different ways of copying and scanning into my computer and being able to solve the problems that I have with scanning

• Being able to problem solve with the whole TIFF file being corrupted or being too big for computers to read

• Experimenting with each iteration and to try and get the textures right, which adds to the look of the article

• Front cover look is amazing, even though it is a one-off scan and cannot be replicated physically again

 

Weaknesses

• Added textures might be too much for some

• Size of text might be too big when printed

• Talking about the bad side of mental health might trigger people, but it does need to be talked about

 

Opportunities

• To explore more of the analogue side of graphic design for the next project

• To accept happy little accidents when designing and experimenting

• To try and design more off of the computer, rather than replying solely being on the computer

• Take inspiration from the experimenting that I have done in the past

 

Threats

• Design could be experimented on more

• Not wasting paper from copying and printing pages

• Electricity used when using the bigger scanner

• Non-use of colour in the design, not too much, but enough for the outlines of the lettering headers
