Website Development - 06.11.23

During this day, I managed to push forward with the design and was able to sort out things such as colours layouts and fonts for the website. For each spray paint design, I had to photoshop them individually due to them being JPEG files instead of PNG and SVG. I could not have changed the colour in the software (or found a way to change it in the software or to change the hue to exactly what we have for our brand colours). During this time too, I had to download some paint brushes for Photoshop and thus, used those for experimenting with as this would give off a vibe of streetwear with 90s fashion for the project. I had to make sure that I also followed the graphic design team’s input as this would not give a sense of coherency for the project if both of our designs did not work together.

I felt like I was pushing the graphics team a little hard due to not understanding why it was taking such a long time to come up with graphics on the posters, as having the posters done first, I can then try and copy the style of the poster and thus have a coherent design for the project.

For the development of the website, I was told that it might be good to experiment with the colours that we chose as a team and that it was something that we could have explored within the brand design and to also try out different spray paint patterns on the website. The videos below show what I did for the day and were also the videos sent over to the others to give them input on what to do for the website. One of my peers has also expressed interest in the animation side of things and will try and have a look at what I could have done for the animation of the website.

Overall, everyone is happy with what I have started to do with the website and will try my best to add some more things to it as well, such as changing the typography to have a more coherent design.

These changes will be shown in the next blog post so that I know that I am in the final stages of development.
